The Cosmos
Flickering stars sprinkled across a velvet sky
mysterious orbs cast lavishly across the vast cosmos
speak to a great and wond’rous creator
whose imagination has no bounds
Falling stars and streaking comets race across a silent night
exploding suns and merging stars tell of a powerful God
whose astonishing ingenuity speak to His magical mind
To witness the varied machinations
of living chartreuse foliage as the
magical movement of chlorophyll
rushes through their luxuriant leaves
is indeed a spectacular sight to see
Curious creatures swimming in a living ocean
amoeba, fish,and mystical mammals
breathing in oxygen through aquamarine water
remains a mysterious existence throughout the ages
Unusual animals wander about the planet
in rituals which capture the astonished mind
wildebeest who migrate across expansive Africa
butterflies who fly to and ‘fro each spring
Myriad birds which travel south each year
to thrive among burgeoning branches
build nests laboriously to hatch offspring
each bustling season
O’ what an amazing and astonishing universe
a living, breathing Mother Nature
filled with nautical sea creatures and a collection
of nomadic animals
There is no doubt, this universe, this planet,
which we call home is a complex macro
and microcosm of an amazing and glorious God
one which we should revere and honor for His
wealth of life . . . who easily built a home for us
without reservation and with a bountiful love.
