First and foremost we subscribe in full to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
This is neither a Left nor Right spectrum of values.
Secondly, we do see that market mechanisms, if they are not distorted by regulations that favour some at the expense of others, are indeed powerful uplifting phenomena.
The new Green legislation penalising those who pollute the environment and harm the health of others is long overdue: it is simply the protection of property and individual rights.
Our increasing conviction is that the regulations that the banking sectors in the West operate within limit competition and promote oligarchic institutions.
This then does not provide sufficient competition to mitigate the interest raised.
It is intended to highlight the plight of people when market mechanisms are distorted by regulations, allowing interest raising to be pursued to apocalyptic degrees.
We are not against interest - only against the latitude it enjoys because of insufficient competition.
A banking sector that faces the risk of normal enterprises when it does not operate efficiently or is not conducting the kind of service that will gather consumers is what we are seeking to promote.
