Here we will be featuring writers, bloggers, originators of new ideas etc who are paradigm shifting in a way that Sustainability is promoted, directly or indirectly.
Some of those who we feature may not see themselves as being in the business of Sustainability but this does not matter.
For example, JD Bentley may come across as cynical and far removed from Sustainability ... yet?
Sustainability demands a number of synergistic phenomena ...
For example, whilst fairness eludes a precise mathematical definition there is mostly a common intuitive understanding of what it is.
Even if this intuitive understanding is 80 or 90 or 91 etc parts in a 100.
Close enough to make the Sustainable difference ... the Marikana Massacre in South Africa is the manifestation of what can tragically happen when fairness is mostly absent.
The new physics of the 21st Century, rooted in the 20th, demands a careful consideration of what seems 'common sense'.
It was common sense that the world was flat, or that the Sun revolved around the world, or that whatever was common sense was indeed common sense.
Inasmuch as we now have various co-existing models of String Theory and the strange behaviour of sub atomic particles that defy common sense so we need to allow for the dissolution of our mechanistic, hierarchical word views and their evolution into a greater sense of the reality of what is.
Hence the subliminal views of a Nicole Rushin have their place to melt away the hard edges of our world views.
We may not agree with all of the ideas of all of the paradigm shifters we feature here ... but they certainly challenge and shake our trees.
