The Coming Storm
2012 . . . that’s the mysterious number
being bandied about these days
and what will happen this coming year
with the coming storm
that physicists say will ensue . . .
The Inter-Galactic Pole Shift
an immense extraordinary event
that is to change life as we know it
or so “they” say . . .
An Agrarian Society we will once again
become, the rumours go . . .
there will be a ‘dark rift’ as they say;
Mayans left relics to enlighten us, and
they knew not what else to do but pray . . .
So what are we to do?
Ignore it, study it, prepare for it, what?
Knowledge is power, the old adage goes
but ignorance is bliss . . .
If all the dire predictions come true
then we are in for a great deluge, a tempest,
a tumultuous storm
that will rock our world, and rock the Planet
perhaps ‘til we are no more . . .
Fear not, good people, fear not
for all may not be lost
prepare for the worst yet carry on
and treasure the Planet, for ours
is our only one . . . and pray.
