I was watching Al Jazeera's The Stream this morning which was featuring a discussion on Creative Commons, with one of the co-founders central to the interviews.
A short while later Allison Morris emailed me out of the blue with that powerful graphical statistic on the benefits of recycling plastic.
The word 'attribution' stood out in its Creative Commons licensing and that reminded me that I meant to read up more on this Internet Age licensing.
It goes to show that no matter how widely read you may strive to be, or how specialised you might be in some field or another (ours is in generating Business Intelligence supporting the role of Green in poverty reduction) there are always knowledge gaps that need to be serviced.
What struck me about the concept is the sustainable energy it imparts, allowing a just and fair propagation of creativity that classical copyright laws are not adequate for.
